Jenna & Aaron's Northern England Wedding
Near the end of October I traveled to England to be in and photograph my older sister Jenna’s wedding! She’s lived in England for the past four years, and about two years ago met a very special Brit – Aaron. The whole day was amazing. We started off early in the morning getting ready and had the ceremony at 11:30 a.m. The church was beautiful, and more than 1,000 years old. After a rose-petal exit from the church we headed to Durham, England where their venue was. We had time to stroll around the garden during hors d’oeuvres and then had the most beautiful afternoon tea. (Think amazing teacakes, scones, desserts, tea, coffee, champagne … all in a room overlooking the Durham Cathedral!) At night there was live music, a donut wall & cake, a hog-roast, and dancing! Thinking back to this day makes me so happy! The not-so- fun part was my 6 a.m. flight the next morning out of Newcastle, but it was definitely worth it!
(For those wondering how I was able to be in the wedding and shoot the wedding, I had an amazing England-based second shooter help me out during the ceremony and group photos. All photos shown are my own except the two group photos I’m in!)

Meredith & Drew's Glass Hill Wedding
This gorgeous wedding came in two parts due to some unfortunate weather the day of the wedding. (Think crazy wind and sheets of rain!) Luckily we were able to shoot the bridal party photos outside, but the ceremony and all the other photos had to be moved inside. Meredith, Drew and I went back a couple weeks later for a portrait session! I’m obsessed with how all the photos turned out, including the ones where it was starting to rain.

Aaren & Michael's Boho Inspired Wedding
You wouldn’t know it from looking at these images, but Aaren and Michael’s wedding day was up in the air because they were married the weekend of Hurricane Florence (lots of flooding & power outage concerns). In the end there was only about 30 minutes of rain on their wedding day! Because the forecast was much worse we ended up doing a first look and some of their portraits on the Thursday before their wedding.
It was so much fun, and such a relief for Aaren to get some of the images she wanted done before the big day so she could be stress free about the rain. These images are a mix of some taken on Thursday and others taken on the day of Aaren and Michael’s wedding.

Charleston Styled Shoot (part two!)
For the second part of the styled shoot, I focused on the details. I loved this color palette. It’s extremely vibrant, yet slightly muted at the same time. Also if you scroll down you’ll see the amazing tree/flower installation. I’ve never seen anything like it before, but it definitely pushes the boundaries with where you would normally see florals being used, and I love it.

Charleston Styled Shoot
I’m excited to post something outside of normal weddings or engagement sessions! Almost a year ago now I was part of styled shoot in Charleston, S.C. The first part of the shoot we took portraits by the ocean, and for the second part I took detail shots at a plantation (I’ll post those separately!) I don’t know if it’s possible to take bad photo during golden hour at the beach. I’m a minimalist at heart, so I love the simplicity and subtle beauty in these images.
