Maura & Andrew's Isle of Palms Wedding
Charleston is one of my favorite cities– especially in the fall when the temperatures are just about perfect and the humidity isn’t quite as powerful. Maura and Andrew had this perfect weather at the beginning of November for their wedding! Their big day was at Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms, right outside of Charleston. This venue served as the perfect backdrop for these two, especially since Maura grew up coming to Wild Dunes on family vacations. Not only were they both gorgeous, they also were the sweetest, and I felt so honored to capture their big day!

Lauren & Kyle's Fall Winery Wedding (Charlottesville)
Lauren and Kyle got the perfect November day to have a fall wedding! The leaves had finally changed and the air was perfectly crisp. One of my favorite elements of this wedding was that Lauren chose to include her adorable dogs and had the florist make them special tie on flower collars. So cute! The reception was held in an outdoor heated tent with string lights, candles, and beautiful flowers that made it extra cozy.

Jess & Sean's Winter Wedding
Winter weddings are growing on me! Even though it’s a little bit colder and things aren’t as green, the winter weather makes things more romantic and cozy. Jess and Sean weren’t afraid of a little cold (they were actually hoping for snow!) There were so many thoughtful details that made this a great winter wedding. From her fur jacket and the guys’ tweed suits to cocktail hour serving tomato soup & grilled cheese sandwiches and a hot chocolate bar. After the wedding these two headed to Europe to spend Christmas in Switzerland … so jealous! Congrats again you two!

Jenna & Aaron's Northern England Wedding
Near the end of October I traveled to England to be in and photograph my older sister Jenna’s wedding! She’s lived in England for the past four years, and about two years ago met a very special Brit – Aaron. The whole day was amazing. We started off early in the morning getting ready and had the ceremony at 11:30 a.m. The church was beautiful, and more than 1,000 years old. After a rose-petal exit from the church we headed to Durham, England where their venue was. We had time to stroll around the garden during hors d’oeuvres and then had the most beautiful afternoon tea. (Think amazing teacakes, scones, desserts, tea, coffee, champagne … all in a room overlooking the Durham Cathedral!) At night there was live music, a donut wall & cake, a hog-roast, and dancing! Thinking back to this day makes me so happy! The not-so- fun part was my 6 a.m. flight the next morning out of Newcastle, but it was definitely worth it!
(For those wondering how I was able to be in the wedding and shoot the wedding, I had an amazing England-based second shooter help me out during the ceremony and group photos. All photos shown are my own except the two group photos I’m in!)

Meredith & Drew's Glass Hill Wedding
This gorgeous wedding came in two parts due to some unfortunate weather the day of the wedding. (Think crazy wind and sheets of rain!) Luckily we were able to shoot the bridal party photos outside, but the ceremony and all the other photos had to be moved inside. Meredith, Drew and I went back a couple weeks later for a portrait session! I’m obsessed with how all the photos turned out, including the ones where it was starting to rain.
